More than anywhere else on earth, Egypt
is a modern day link with the ancient world.
So much so that most people would have
trouble naming any places of interest in the
country that are less than a hundred years
old.

In truth, Cairo has some very pleasant 21st
Century amenities, the Red Sea coast has a
notably cosmopolitan tourist industry, & the
huge Dam at Aswan is a popular attraction
for those on a Nile Cruise.

But of course it is the historical attractions
that draw travellers in their millions each
year. The Great Pyramids, The Valley of the
Kings, The Sphinx, and the many wonderful
temples along the Nile, even Cairo itself...
the list is endless.

With a civilisation stretching back over six
thousand years, it can be quite daunting to
even get to grips with a history as long and
involved as Egypt’s. The reality is you don’t
need to. Just marvel at them for what they
are - magnificent relics from what was once
the most dominant and advanced nation on
the planet.

So come for a Nile Cruise, a beach holiday
on the glorious Red Sea, or a city break to
Alexandria, Luxor, or Cairo, but do come. It
is truly one of the most amazing places you
will ever see.
