Senegal is the perfect destination in which
to capture many different aspects of Africa.
It marks the transition from the arid desert
landscape of the north, to the steaming hot
tropical forests in the south.

The prime draw for tourists are the excellent
beaches. Gently sloping white sand, backed
by swaying palms run for mile after mile both
north and south of the capital, Dakar. Some
areas have well developed resorts, buzzing
nightlife, and top quality hotels. Elsewhere
you’ll find smaller villages full of tiny shacks,
and where the beaches are shared with local
fishermen tending their nets.

In the delta’s of the Saloum and Casamance
rivers, the lush green mangrove swamps are
bursting with all manner of colourful wildlife.
Take a boat ride and discover pink flamingos
and kingfishers.

Dakar is a hectic, wonderfully atmospheric
city, filled with a mixture of French colonial
elegance, and the modern African hustle and
noise. Music is everywhere, and the vibrant,
Colourful street  markets echo to the sound
of haggling.

Inland the panorama’s change from the vast
featureless plains, to dense tropical forests,
and magnificent national parks where game
drives will show you lion and antelope.

Senegal really is a nation with plenty for all.
