Swaziland is a relatively small country, and is
landlocked kingdom, between South Africa &
Mozambique. It has a wealth of attractions
crammed into its relatively small, but diverse
countryside.
It’s often included as a brief stop-over, or an
add-on to tours in this part of Africa, but it’s
more than worth spending some time here to
explore it in its own right.
As a wildlife haven, it’s one of Africa’s best
opportunities to see Black Rhino in the wild.
The Mkhaya Game reserve is a favourite of
both tourists and wildlife enthusiasts.
Other reserves, such as the Millwane Wildlife
Sanctuary, or the Malolotja Nature Reserve,
offer different experiences, but are no less
exciting.
If you want excitement of a different type,
try a white-water rafting trip on the Usutu
River. The breathtaking gorges, and roaring
wild rapids make this a paradise for adrenalin
junkies.
The capital, Mbabane, is a good place from
which to tour, and has it’s own charm and
share of interesting places to visit.
